Bluemetric
About us
Founded in 2015, Bluemetric is a rapidly growing wealth advisory boutique. The current team consists of 14 driven professionals who are engaged in advising 28 UHNW individuals, families and small institutions with aggregate assets of approximately EUR 7 billion. Our main goal is to provide our clients with the insights and knowledge they need to ensure they feel in full control of their wealth. To enable clients to be at the helm of their wealth we advise them on their asset allocation in both public and private investments. The different strategies may use e.g. equities, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity and private credit. Our independence, data-driven research and deep knowledge of private markets play a vital role in our service offering. This all comes together in a tight knit team with a flat organizational structure in which everyone plays an important role in value creation for our clients.
Are you keen on working with top tier private equity fund managers such as CD&R, Brookfield and Advent International? Do you have what it takes to construct efficient public equity portfolios in collaboration with world class asset managers? Do you dare to stick your neck out to bring our fast growing organization to the next level? Then Bluemetric might be the perfect place for you to launch your career!
About our case
One of our focus areas is manager selection in Private Equity. The Private Equity industry has grown substantially from inception over 40 years ago. In an increasingly competitive environment, thousands of General Partners are trying to create value in private markets. Not all succeed. Investors in Private Equity need to understand not just risk/return profiles, but should also conduct due diligence on the organization, team, investment terms and of course, overall strategy of a manager when trying to decide which funds to commit to. That is where we come in.
In this case, you will be responsible for part of the Bluemetric selection process. Through our sourcing partners, a new manager came to our attention. The manager will be raising their next fund in the coming months. In teams, you will have to perform high-level due diligence on the strategy, organization, track record and investment terms of this next fund. What are the most important pros and cons of the fund? Could it be interesting to our clients? Should the fund be recommended for further due diligence at the next Investment Committee meeting? If so, what should be the focus points of further due diligence? If clients decide to allocate to the fund, how much should they allocate?
